The show is sanctioned by the American Boer Goat Association.

This show is open to all exhibitors.  There is no limit on the number of animals that can be entered in a class by an exhibitor.  No animals shall be changed from one class to another after entry unless it is ineligible for the class in which it is entered.  Substitutions will be allowed.

All goats must be registered in the herdbook of a recognized association before time specified by the show. Recognized associations include ABGA, International Boer Goat Association, USBGA and the Canadian Boer Goat Association. Original registration certificates are required, though a copy of a Registration Application, stamped with the date received by one of the listed associations, can be accepted for kids less than 3 months of age. Animals must be registered in the name of the exhibitor and must have been owned by the exhibitor on or before date determined by said show. Throughout the ABGA and JABGA Show rules the term exhibitor is defined as the owner of the animal listed in the ABGA registry shown on entry deadline. All goats must be appropriately identified and comply with USDA Scrapie Eradication Program Guidelines. Birth dates as listed on the registration certificate will be used to determine the class divisions.  The show date will be the base date in computing all ages.  Take the show date and count back to the birth date of the goat to determine the age and the class for the animal.

Heelers will not be allowed in any classes.

Any goat showing any pronounced defect or abnormality, such as weak constitution, unthrifty condition, overshot jaw, or undershot jaw will be barred from showing in any of the breeding classes.  No artificial coloring will be allowed.  Illegible tattoos or tattoos inconsistent with registration papers will result in disqualification.  Any doe over 24 months of age that has not kidded and cannot prove a current pregnancy will not be allowed to show.  Progeny of fresh does will not be allowed in the ring.

Fitting will be left up to the discretion of the exhibitor.

   16.  Grand Champion

   17.  Reserve Grand Champion

   18. Exhibitors Flock

An exhibitor’s flock shall consist on one buck any age, two does (yearling or older) and two doe kids.

Livestock exhibitors will be allowed to display signs over exhibits advertising their own herds.  This will only be allowed in the show barn.

All entry cards must include the ABGA, CBGA, or IBGA registration number and the permanent ID of the goats entered and a copy of the Registry certificate.

All goats must bear the permanent identification number as recorded on the entry cards.

Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their animals in assigned pens.  Some may need to be tied.
